Industrial Doors
They have started demolition of the original mill in the Russell Manufacturing complex in Alexander City, Alabama. The mill was founded in 1902 and was the lifeblood of this small town. It is closed now and moved out of the country leaving many people out of work. Anyway . . . many members of my family have passed through these doors on their way to work every morning.

That top shot even has an Industrial air to it, looks as of it would be hard to breath!

I especially like the top image. Something about the angle and the dulled colors gives is a sense of desolation: a place that was once vital but is now ghosted.

Sad…Love all the brick in the buildings. The last image really highlights a beautifully curved and elegant entrance/exit point for the factory.

This is a great series and a sad commentary of what is happening here. We will never get to the root of the unemployment situation until we address our trade policy. I really like these thought provoking images, Clara.

A fine and sad series. I think the facade on the bottom shot is the saddest, looks stuck on in desperation
